Tingley Wins Worlds, Great Radial Results

NSYA_RACE_TEAMIt was a great weekend for Nova Scotia Sailors!

Paul Tingley from the RNSYS captured his first world championship at the 2.4mR Open World Championships in the Netherlands.

Paul came from behind in the final two days to take the title from Stellan Berlin of Sweden. Bruce Millar of Toronto was 4th.

In 2008 Paul won the gold medal in the 2.4mR class at the Paralympic Games in China.

More than 80 sailors took part int he world championships which is open to able-bodied and disabled athletes.

At the Radial NQR in Kingston, Nova Scotia sailors took 3 of the top 7 positions.

Lisa Ross was 3rd, Danielle Dube 4th and Erin Rafuse was 7th. All sailors are from the RNSYS.
